  1. What does Paul mean in verse 3 when he says, "if indeed by putting it on we not be found naked?" I've heard people talk about earning white robes and clothes like this in heaven. Is it true that some people will not be clothed in heaven? There is a note in my Bible that says people's spirits will be with God after death, but they may not have resurrected bodies yet. It seems like Paul is really anxious for Jesus to return and to be resurrected in heaven. I can see where he is coming from, but I have not experienced these feelings very much. I think it would be exciting for Jesus to return, but at the same time I am not looking forward to the tribulation period. I think it would be great to go to heaven, but I am not looking forward to dying. Paul mentions the "judgment seat of Christ" in verse 10 but what is that exactly? I've heard that there are two major judgements of people: the white throne judgments where God separates the sheep from the goats, and then the judgment seat of Christ, where people are given various levels of reward for their works on earth. Is that right? It says in verse 10, again, that "each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil." Doesn't this mean that there will be punishment for evil deeds at the judgment seat of Christ?

I like this verse 21, "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." This is a nice summary of God's plan to bring us back into fellowship with him. God gave his son, Jesus Christ, to save us and bring us into a relationship with him.
